Because mental health is messy, hilarious, and totally survivable.
Mental health isn’t all journaling in a sunbeam and drinking overpriced mushroom coffee. Sometimes it’s crying on the bathroom floor at 2 a.m. over a weirdly aggressive email. And sometimes? It’s laughing through the chaos because, honestly, what else are you gonna do?
Welcome to Shrink Wrapped — where mental health meets ‘We’re all just doing our best, okay?’
I’m Michelle— the daughter of a counselor, collector of unsolicited life advice, and someone who firmly believes that if we’re going to unpack our emotional baggage, we might as well do it with snacks and sarcasm.
Here’s the deal: we’re diving into the real, the messy, and the sometimes hilarious side of mental health — the things you wish someone would just say out loud. No toxic positivity. No sugarcoating. Zero judgment. And just the right amount of dark humor to keep it from feeling like you accidentally joined a motivational speaker’s cult.
We’ll be talking about everything from the DSM-V — aka the giant manual of ‘why am I like this?’ — to therapy, boundaries, anxiety, and all the beautiful chaos that comes with being a person who sometimes cries in the Target parking lot for no particular reason.
And because reflection isn’t just for people with fancy journals and rose quartz collections, we’ll be doing guided journal prompts along the way too — nothing complicated, just real questions to help you untangle your own brain a little bit at a time.
But don’t worry — this isn’t going to feel like you stumbled into a trust fall exercise or got trapped in a self-help seminar where everyone’s high on green juice. Shrink Wrapped is about real life. The messy, imperfect, ‘oops, I trauma-dumped on my barista again’ kind of life.
Because none of us are here to win at mental health. We’re here to survive it — and maybe even connect with a few other humans who get it. Preferably the ones who also have a folder full of therapy memes and cry at dog commercials like it’s a competitive sport.
So if you’ve ever side-eyed a self-help book, panic-bought a weighted blanket at 3 a.m., or mastered the fine art of pretending you're totally fine when you're actually spiraling — welcome home.
Shrink Wrapped is officially open for business. Let’s get into it.
